Isaac Newton health began to deteriorate in his older life. At the age of 80 he developed a bladder weakness which meant he became incontinent. He then developed bladder stones and these caused severe pain at times. Isaac became less and less mobile, ate a restrictive diet of mainly vegetables and broth. In 1725 he was diagnosed with Gout and the following year Hemorrhoids. All this time the pain from his untreated bladder stones was getting worse. On 19 march 1727 the pain was so immense it caused him to blackout. He died the following day never having regained consciousness. He was 85 years old. He is laid to rest in Westminster Abbey.
