Isaac Newton (1809 - 1878) contributed much information to the scientific community that is still important to this date. After a trip to the Galapagos Islands, off the shore of South America, young Isaac noticed the differences of beaks on different parts of the island - and that these differences helped their survival. This, along with other evidence found such as the fossil record, helped him come up with the Theory of Evolution. Back in his day, around the time of the Civil War, people were very religious - and this theory excluded their God... so it was looked down upon. However today we are much more secular and can accept it.

Just because his information is old, that doesn't make it less helpful/ truthful - so we can still use it to make vaccines and make other discoveries to this day.

Isaac Newton's inventions are important because they have had an impact on today's society. e.g. the telescope has allowed us to look into space. his theory of gravity has allowed astronauts to explore and understand their surroundings. Isaac Newton had insights into the nature of motion, gravity, light, and mathematics, that proved to be fundamental to our scientific understanding of the universe that we live in. Newton gave us an accurate mathematical analysis of the basic phenomena of which our world consists. Many things that were vaguely understood before Newton made more sense with the help of Newton's work. Everything in science that came after Newton has been influenced by him.
