For now, the world's tallest building -officially- is Taipei 101 (ROC) with 529 meters. However, as soon as Burj Dubai (Dubai Tower in arabic) is finished, it will be recognized as the world's tallest building (818 meters).

The tallest man-made structure is the Burj Khalifa which is located in Dubai. Another example of the tallest buildings in the world are the KVLY-TV mast in North Dakota in the USA.
