Talking to them about all sorts of things. Turn off the TV and limit computer use. Take the children outside talk about the plants, birds, and what they see, smell, think, and experience. Go places and as you go talk about what they see play a game to see if they can find a particular item. Discussion during dinner is a great time to talk about school or things they learned that day. Give them a riddle to figure out and they have to ask questions to figure out the answer.
