To give each child an equal portion of the 5 potatoes, the woman can cut each potato into three equal parts. This will give her a total of 15 equal portions to distribute among the three children. Each child will receive 5 portions, ensuring they all have an equal share of the potatoes.

Well, one way is to divide each potato equally into thirds and give each child one-third of each potato, five pieces in all--five thirds.

Less chopping is involved if you give each child one whole potato and then do the careful dividing just of the remaining two. Each child gets one whole potato and two one-third potatoes.

5/3 = 1 2/3.

A mother has six children and only five potatoes how can she feed each with equal portion?

Mash them or turn them into french fries and divide by weight; cut one into 3 equal parts and give 3 and 1/3 to each. Perhaps 'equally' can be interpreted to mean 'equally satisfied'. One of the three people may loathe potatoes, leaving 5 each for the remaining two people. Maybe one person has a need for 4 potatoes, and the others are more than happy with 3 each.

What are the advantages of freezing food?

here are three reasons to freeze food: 1) you can cook and bake in bulk and freeze the food in separate portions. Use the portions as you need them thus saving time and energy. 2) cooking larger portions is cheaper than making small portions. 3) you can buy food while it is in season and at its best and cheapest. Then freeze it raw or cooked. Please note some foods are unsuitable for freezing such as: eggs, cream, potatoes, sauces, cheese... Other foods may not be as good after freezing such as: strwaberries, they go soft.
