But all squares are also rectangles.

A rectangle has all angles the same (at 90o), but only opposite pairs of sides of equal length, whereas a square requires that not only all the angles are the same (at 90o) but also the sides are all the same length.

Thus a rectangle can have sides: 2, 4, 2, & 4; 5, 100, 5 & 500; 10, 10, 10 & 10.

Only the last one of those is also a square.
