A rhombus is a four-sided shape where all sides have equal length. Also opposite sides are parallel and opposite angles are equal. I think those criteria will work for a square too. BUT a square has right angles, so a rhombus may not be a square. So here is the story, simplified for you. Since every rhombus has 4 sides all of equal length, and the opposition angle are equal and oppositie sides are parallel, every square is a rhombus. But there is nothing that says a rhombus needs to have right angles. A square needs right angles so a rhombus may not be a square.
