The general idea in solving equations is to put the variable you want to solve for on the left side, and to take anything you don't need to the right side.

A = (1/2) bh

Put "h" to the right side:

(1/2) bh = A

To get rid of 1/2, multiply both sides by 2:

2 x (1/2) bh = 2 A
bh = 2A

To get rid of the "b", divide both sides by "b";

h = 2A
