You multiply 1 x 2. Then you multiply the result with the next number: 2 x 3 = 6. Then you multiply the result with the next number: 6 x 4 = 24. You continue, until you have multiplied all the numbers. You multiply 1 x 2. Then you multiply the result with the next number: 2 x 3 = 6. You don't. If you are dividing fractions, you multiply by the reciprocal. For example, 2/3 times 6/11 is 2/3 * 6/11 = 4/11. But, 2/3 divided by 6/11 is 2/3 * 11/6 = 11/9 or 1 2/9. The reason you do this is because the numerator is being multiplied and a denominator is being divided. When you divide, you are doing the opposite of multiplying so you flip the fraction, which is an opposite operation then you can multiply, which is the opposite of dividing.

When you multiply a fraction by its recipricol you will always end with the answer of 1.EX.4/6 x 6/4 = 14x6=246x4=2424 divided by 24 = 1
The additive inverse is +1.2 (1.2). The reciprocal is -5/6 (- .833).
the reciprocal of 6 is 1/6 and the reciprocal of 7 is 1/7
To divide by a fraction, multiply by its reciprocal. Therefore, 2 / 1/6 = 2 x 6 = 12.
To divide by a fraction, you multiply with the reciprocal of that fraction. To take the reciprocal, simply exchange numerator and denominator. For example, 1/2 divided by 5/6 is the same as 1/2 times 6/5.
The idea is to multiply 18 by 2, then divide the result by 6. As an alternative, you can also divide 18 by 6 first, then multiply the result by 2.
The reciprocal of 6/17 is 17/6
