No.
Imagine if you had a paper plate and cut a pie piece out of it. (So it would look like a pacman). Then, in your head, imagine trying to touch the two cut edges together. (like closing the pacman's mouth.) When you try to do that, the paper plate will not stay flat. Instead, the middle of the plate will pop upward, making a cone shape.
The face (of the cone) you are thinking of, actually would be a circle with some 'pie' pieces missing. If it were missing only one small pie piece, the cone would be pretty flat. If the original circle/paper plate were missing MOST of its 'pie' pieces the cone would be very tall.
PS The fancy name for the 'pie' piece shape is 'sector.'
A cone or a bulged-out cone.
A cone has a circle for a base and a triangular prism has a triangle for a base
A sphere sliced by a plane; or a cone.
The face of the cone is on the bottom of the cone. For example, when looking at a birthday hat, the area that touches the table is the face of the cone. Same with an ice cream cone. The area of the ice cream cone that touches the ice cream is the face. Go to http://newsletters.hagerman.com/newsletters/Images/Ebul49/TIPS3.jpgthere you can see a picture of cone. The highlighted blue area is the face of the cone.
There is one face in a cone. It is at the bottom.
A triangle is 2D, and has a square base. A cone is 3D, and has a circular base.
Neither. A cone is a cone.
It is the net of a cone. -

Same basic shape, except a cone has three dimensions, a triangle has two.
The strongest shape in nature is the triangle. A traffic cone has a cross section of a triangle. This would give it strength especially when knocked into by the traffic.

A cone has one circular face. It also has one vertice. A cone has no edges due to the fact that it has a circular face.

The face of a triangle IS a triangle!
