1/12th scale is a twelfth the size of the original. If for instance the model is of a bus that is 12ft tall, 36ft long & 8ft wide, the model would be: 12 * 1/12 = 1ft tall 36 * 1/12 = 3ft long 8 * 1/12 = 8inches wide. Hope that helps
33 inches
how big is 1/3
1/24 scale in feet/inchs
it's about 58'4"
It depends on what the original model was. If the original model was 100 inches, then a 1/50th scale would be 2 inches.
A little bigger than 1:33 scale but not quite as big as 1:31 scale. lol. Sorry, I couldn't resist. When referring to model car building it is a scale of 1:32. As an example, every inch of the actual vehicle is 1/32 of an inch to the model. So every foot or 12 inches would be 3/8 of an inch.
1/48 means it is in a scale. If the real aircraft is 48 feet long, then the model is 1 foot long. A smaller scale 1/72 means a model 1 foot long would be of a real aicraft 72 feet long.
yes it is.
The scale represents the relation of the map (or model or what ever else) to what it is meant to represent. A 1:1 scale model of a Lamborghini would be exactly the same size as a real car. A 1:10 scale model is 1/10th as big, so every inch or cm or meter on the model would represent 10 inches or cm or meters on the real car. It doesn't matter with scales what unit is used, it is a constant relationship
Models that are 1/48 scale can easily be measured by using the following: 1/4 of an inch on the model = 1 foot on the real thing 1 inch on the model = 4 feet on the real thing etc.
1:35 scale means that 1 unit on the model represents 35 units in real life. To convert this to centimeters, you would need to measure the real-life object and divide by 35 to find its representation in centimeters on the model.
What is the ratio of 555 feet as to 9.25 inches. 6,660 inches : 9.25 = 720 : 1 The model is 720 as to 1 scale, or 1/720th scale model
