The browser used by this site for posting questions is all but useless for mathematical questions because it rejects most symbols as well as sub- and superscripts. It then becomes a game of guesswork!

If your question was 1*(1.15)^n = 1.715 then

n*ln(1.15) = ln(1.715) where ln is the natural logarithm, although any base will do.

therefore, n = ln(1.715)/ln(1.15) = 3.8595

What number is n in algebra?

The whole point of using n in algebra is that it stands for an unspecified number. Until you have an equation (or inequality) that involves n and solve it for a value of n.

What is the equation for nine more than half a number is 24?

I'll represent the unknown value of the number with the variable 'n'.9 + (n/2) = 24This is the equation, now to solve it, solve for n.18/2 + n/2 = 24(18+n)/2 = 2418 + n = 48n = 30

How do you solve 9n equals 126?

You are trying to find the value of n. So divide 9 from both sides and you will get the value of n since the 9's will cancel out on the left side of the equation. This will leave you with n = 14

How do you solve -12n-1977?

Do you mean -12n = -1977 then if so divide both sides by -12 to find the value of n which will be positive:- n = 164.75

How do you solve 5n plus 2?

Whatever your value of n is, you need to multiply it by 5 and then add 2 to get your answer. Below is how to solve it algebraically: 5n+2 = 0 (it needs to be equal to something in order to solve it, so I assumed that it equals zero) 5n = -2 n = -2/5

What is 2x - 6 equals 12 in the World's Easyest Game?

Solve for x and the answer is 9. There is no trick to the answer, just algebra. When you see a question that asks you to "solve for N" (700 + 80 + n = 780 + n) it could obviously be *any* value for n. The trick answer is that the timer stops at 0:03 and the answer that works is 3.
