I have a new way in checking answers in subtraction. If you have the answer, subtract the minuend to the difference then, if the answer is the subtrahend the answer is correct. Here is an example.
E.g.
13738724-11234689=2504035
Check = 13738724(the minuend)-2504035(the answer)= 11234689
Another simple example.
E.g.
67-23=44
Check= 67(minuend)-44(answer)=23(subtrahend)
Thanks and God Bless You!
NOTE: I do not know if anyone also knows this trick!
Subtraction is used to check addition.
Addition is the opposite of subtraction. For example, 24 - 9 = 15. If you want to check your answer, add 9 + 15. It equals 24, so your answer is correct.
for addition you take the sum and subtract one of the numbers being added from it and for subtraction you add the difference with the second number being subtracted so it equals the first number

Addition is the inverse of Subtraction. Division is the inverse of Multiplication. and then visa-versa. :-) Addition is the inverse of Subtraction. Division is the inverse of Multiplication. and then visa-versa. :-) the Answer is subtraction
You don't. You can check addition with subtraction or subtraction with addition, since subtraction is the opposite of addition. Similary, you can check division with multiplication, or vice versa.

who discovered addition and subtraction.
Addition is the inverse operation to subtraction.
Addition and subtraction are reverse operations.
definiton of addition and subtraction
Addition and subtraction are inverse functions.
Subtraction is the addition of a negative number.
Subtraction can be seen as the inverse operation to addition.
Addition is a sum and so is subtraction. So there's your answer!
for addition you take the sum and subtract one of the numbers being added from it and for subtraction you add the difference with the second number being subtracted so it equals the first number
