*find a theodolite or total station
*check for collimation
*check theodolite vertical axis
*set up the theodolite a distance away from the foot of the tower, or closer but using a diagonal eye piece
*use left face to bisect bottom point and clamp the horizontal plate
*check the tower zenith
transit and use the right face to bisect the bottom point and do as explained above
*dont forget to record readings of every stage.
. The angle of depression of the top and bottom of a tower as seen from the top of a 100m high cliff are 300 and 600 respectively. Find the height of the tower.?
I'm not sure if this is 100% correct but One Hundred and Five North Tower is based on Albert Smith's novel, The Marchiones of Brinvilliers, in which it is also called the North Tower.
from the water tower
Consider the following ._ . . . , ______ . , / . , / . , / . ______________/ Dotted line is to the top of the tower, and has an 18 degree angle with the ground Comma line is to the bottom of the tower, and has a 15 degree angle with the ground Visualize the two triangle that exist here: ._ . | . | . , | . , | . , | . , | . _________________| In both cases, the base of the triangle is 200 ft. The height of the dotted triangle is given as sin(18) * 200 = 61.80 The height of the comma triangle is given as sin(15) * 200 = 51.76 The top of the tower is represented by the dotted triangle, so it is 61.80ft above our observation point The bottom of the tower is represented by the comma triangle, so it is 51.76ft above our observation point. The height of the tower is the difference between these heights. 61.80 - 51.76 = 10.04ft The tower is a massive 10ft tall!
about 170 ft
Telecom Italia Tower - Naples - was created in 1995.
To check the verticality of towers, one commonly used method is the plumb line technique, where a weight is suspended from a fixed point above the tower to determine if it aligns vertically with the base. Alternatively, laser levels can be employed to project a straight line along the tower's height, allowing for precise alignment checks. Theodolites or total stations can also be used for more advanced measurements, providing accurate angular data to assess verticality. Regular inspections and adjustments may be necessary to ensure ongoing stability and alignment.
Hire Some Surveying Company and do it with Total Station which will give you the accuracy of 1 mm/ 0°00'10"
yeah i told u the procedure , how to check monopole tower verticality , First set yours instrument in front of monopole tower almost 25M , then draw same 25M long line which is parallel to yours instrument at both side of tower. now just take a angel using instrument between top of tower n right side of tower where we mark a 25M line. spooz its 44:00:00 degree . then again check other side mean left side of tower doing same procedure ,here u got the reading is 46:00:00 degree. its mean your tower have 1:00:00 degree tilt . next do same procedure on "B" location which one is arond 45 degree of yours" A " Location . may be here u find 00 error . thats mean yours tower is simply one sided tilt . u can rectify this using yours tower bottom nuts . or say leveling nuts . thanks Regards ADEEL QC Inspector CIVIL,
If you are referring to the British Telecom Tower in central London - which used to be called the Post Office Tower - it's 620 feet or 189 metres tall.
Work on the tower started in 1961, with the then Prime Minister, Harold Wilson, officially opening the 'Post Office Tower' on October 8th, 1965 with a ceremonial call to the Lord Mayor of Birmingham. (The tower is now known as the 'BT Tower' or 'British Telecom Tower'). Bizarrely, Sir Billy Butlin and Tony Benn joined together on May 19 1966 to open the 'Top of the Tower' restaurant. The tower was an immediate hit with the public, attracting 1.5 million visitors in the first year. The British Telecom Communication Tower in London's West End was the first purpose-built tower to transmit high frequency radio waves, and it serves as a functional telecommunications centre designed to relay broadcast, Internet and telephone information around the world. Built to cater for the UK's growing telecommunications requirements, Telecom Tower was designed by a team led by G R Yeats under the direction of Eric Bedford, chief architect of the Ministry of Public Buildings and Works. The principal building contractors were Peter Lind & Co.
The British Telecom Communication Tower in London was completed in 1964. With a spire reaching a height of 191 meters (627 feet), it was the tallest building in London until superseded by the NatWest Tower in 1980.
No, I have not received my Tower Loan check in the mail yet.
HOW CAN I DOWNLOAD BROADBAND FROM YOUR TOWER?
make separate earth pits far from the electrical system earth pits and test to have low resistivity then connect the system or tower.
A building is classified as a tower primarily based on its height and design, typically standing significantly taller than its surrounding structures. Towers often serve specific functions, such as communication, observation, or as landmarks, and are characterized by a narrow footprint relative to their height. Additionally, they may feature architectural elements that emphasize their verticality, such as spires or distinctive rooflines. The overall perception of a tower is also influenced by its prominence in the skyline.
