Here is a simple method to do this. If you are a mathematician, I apologize because this is worded in a way to make it easy to do and understand for people who are not good at or do not like math. It is not mathematically precise at all. Let's look at 10%, that is the same as .1 and 2% is the same as .02. That is how we convert percents to decimal. We simply imagine their is a decimal point on the right side of the percent. For example 10 is 10. and then move that to the left 2. so 10 become .10 and 2 is 2. so it becomes .02 since we need to put in a zero to move it to the left 2 positions. Now 30% becomes .30 or just .3 but 300% become 300. and when we move the decimal it is 3.00 or just 3 This is because percents are all parts of 100. Now .1 is 1 tenth so the ratio is just 1/10 and.02 is 2 hundreds so the ratio is 2/100 and 3 is 3/1 or 300/100 Why this works: 10% is defined as 10/100 ( but this reduces to 1/10) 2% is defined as 2/100 300% is defined as 300/100 that is the way percents are defined. The word percent means part of a hundred.

How do I convert a percent into a ratio?

To convert a percent into a ratio, first express the percent as a fraction by placing the percent value over 100. For example, to convert 25% into a ratio, write it as 25/100. Then simplify the fraction by dividing both the numerator and the denominator by their greatest common divisor. In this case, 25/100 simplifies to 1/4, resulting in the ratio of 1:4.

To convert a ratio into a percent, simply multiply the numerator by 100 and then carry out the division. You may have to do a long division, though. For example, to convert the ratio three quarters: 3/4 gives 3*100/4 = 3*25 = 75% But they ratio two thirds needs long division: 2/3 = 200/3 = 66.66... %

24 percent and 22 percent to ratio?

To express 24 percent and 22 percent as a ratio, you first need to convert them to fractions by dividing by 100. This gives you 0.24 and 0.22, respectively. To simplify the ratio, you can divide both values by their greatest common divisor, which in this case is 2. Therefore, the ratio of 24 percent to 22 percent simplifies to 12:11.
