The square foot is the smaller unit of area, so you will have to divide a measurement in square feet by the number of square feet per square meter. Since there are 10.76 square feet per square meter, divide by that value. Obviously, to convert from square meters to square feet, you would multiply by that value. 1 square meter is 10.76391 square feet.

These units are incompatible, did you mean square meters to square feet? You simply convert the units so that they cancel out:

1m * (100cm/1m) * (1in/2.54cm) * (1ft/12in) ~= 3.28ft

To get square feet:

1m2 * (100cm/1m)2 * (1in/2.54cm)2 * (1ft/12in)2 ~= 10.76ft2

1 square meter (m2) = 10.763910417 square feet (sq ft)

Multiply m2 by 10.7639104 to yield ft2

ex: 1,000 m2 = 10,763.910417 sq ft.
