For example lets start with something basic: 12/5. First you see how many times 5 goes into 12: 5,10 so that's twice (you count the last in the numbers times tables before the actual number) then because its 2 you must put a 2 and a decimal point (.). Then look at your remainder which is 2 then do 20 divided by 5 which is 4 then the answer is 2.4.

You can also use this method to work out pi 22 over 7 as a fraction. The answer is 3.1428571... goes on forever. Here is how you work it out: see how many times 7 goies in 22: 7,14,21 three times then do 3 and a decimal point. After that look at the remainder which is 1 then multiply it by 10 to give you 10 then do 10/7 which is 1 r 3 then put the 1 on the decimal point giving you 3.1 then look at the remainder 3 then multiply it by 10 which is 30 then do 30/7 which is 4r2 then put the 4 next to the 1 which then makes 3.14 then do 20/7 which is 2r6 put the 2 next to 4 giving you 3.142 then do 60/7 which is 8r4 put the eight on the number giving you 3.1428 then do 40 divided by 7 which is 5 r 5 giving you 3.14295 then 50/ 7 which is 7r1 then its 3.142857 then 10/7 which is 1r3 giving you 3.1428571 then your back at the beginning so it goes on forever (it recurs)

So pi is 3.1428571... if you don't believe me use a calculator and do 22 divided by 7.

How can I know if a binary number is divisible by another binary number?

The same as in decimal. You divide one number by the other, and if you get a whole number as a result (or if you get no remainder, depending on how you do the division), it is divisible. Note that you might also convert both numbers to decimal, and do the division in decimal.
