You make a fraction into a mixed number is easy. Exsample:

2/2= 1 because 2 goes into 2 once. 4/2 = 2 because 2 goes into 4 twice.

Now if the denominator does not go into the numorator then you have numbers left over. Exsample:

3/2= 1 1/2 because 2 goes into 3 once with 1 left over so then you have the left over number above the 2 because that is the over all number. 26/5= 5 1/5 because 5 goes into 26 five times with 1 left over.
