If you find it difficult to deal with decimal multiplication, temporarily use the following short cut, but in the long run definitely understand, learn and practice decimal multiplication.
Temporary trick:
Given 3.5 x 4
Now multiply 3.5 by 10 (but remember that you did this)
So now the product is 35 x 4 = 140 (remember you multiplied 3.5 by 10)
So now the product is 140 but you have to divide this by 10 to nullify the effect of you having multiplied 3.5 by 10 previously. So divide 140 by 10 which is easy
140/10 = 14.0 or simply 14
It is: 4/7 of 35 = 20
Assuming your quesiton is Multiply x times 3x times 4, the answer would be 3x squared times 4.
I would convert to base 10 , multiply and then convert back to base 6. 35 base 6 is 3 * 6 + 5 = 23 in base ten. 4 * 23 = 92 which is 2*36 + 3* 6 + 2 , in base 6 , the answer is 232 .
150 ÷ 35 = 4 with remainder 10 or 4.2857 times.
35
2/5 * 4/7 just multiply through = 8/35
4 times 35 is 140.
It is: 4/7 of 35 = 20
(35)4 = 1,500,625
(35)4 = 1,500,625
Multiply by 4: 35 x 4 = 140 quarts
first you are gonna multiply 1*35 2*35 3*35 4*35
The answer is 28.4/5 = .8.8 = 8/108x35 = 280280/10 = 28---Or another way to work it is to first find out how many times 5 will go into 35. That is 7. Then multiply that by 4. That gives 28.
Assuming your quesiton is Multiply x times 3x times 4, the answer would be 3x squared times 4.
4 goes into 140 35 times. 140/4 = 35
I would convert to base 10 , multiply and then convert back to base 6. 35 base 6 is 3 * 6 + 5 = 23 in base ten. 4 * 23 = 92 which is 2*36 + 3* 6 + 2 , in base 6 , the answer is 232 .
To solve (4 \frac{3}{8} \times \frac{4}{5}), first convert the mixed number to an improper fraction: (4 \frac{3}{8} = \frac{35}{8}). Then, multiply: [ \frac{35}{8} \times \frac{4}{5} = \frac{35 \times 4}{8 \times 5} = \frac{140}{40} = \frac{7}{2} = 3 \frac{1}{2}. ] Therefore, the answer is (3 \frac{1}{2}).
