How do you order mixed number fractions from least to greatest?

You have to change the mixed numbers into improper fractions,then,with the improper fractions you have to find a common denominator (GCF(Greatest Common Factor)) then order them with the common denominator based on the numerator.

EX:

1 2/4 3 6/8 7 1/ 2

1 2/4 = 6/4= 12/8

3 6/12=30/8=30/8

7 1/2=15/2= 60/8

So the order of the fractions with common denominators is: 60/8 , 30/8, 12/8

Witch is really:7 1/2, 3 6/12, 1 2/4

(greatest to least)
