Krazy Kings

By Justin Chamrin

Also known as Crazy Kings, krazy Kings, and krazy kings.

RULES

Players, Cards, and Dice

Krazy Kings can be played with 2 to 5 players. There are no formal partnerships, though there are times when players will find it in their interest to help each other.

A standard 54 card deck is used, with the cards in each suit ranking as usual from ace (high) down to two (low). There is no trump suit.

Dice: Two standard six numbered die are used.

Object of Game

The object is to be the first player to discard all cards. The game is ended by someone discarding all cards and the winner is the player that discards all their cards first.

Deal

Deal and play to start the game is clockwise.

Each player must roll the 2 die to determine the number of cards they are dealt. The number corresponding on the die, 2 through 12, equals the exact number of cards dealt to that player.

When the player roll is concluded the dealer immediately deals the corresponding number of cards before moving on to the next player.

Also if you rolled the total of the card and you don't have that one of three numbers you get a free roll once.

Start

First Round

Starting with the left of the dealer, each player must roll the die. The player can only discard a card out of their hand that matches the corresponding number on the die or a King. If a player cannot discard then they must pass their turn. The table below explains the die and card:

DIE CORRESPONDING CARD

1 ACE

2 TWO

3 THREE

4 FOUR

5 FIVE

6 SIX

7 SEVEN

8 EIGHT

9 NINE

10 TEN

11 JACK

12 QUEEN

A player cannot move to the rules of Round Two unless they successfully discard.

"Krazy" Kings

All four Kings; K♠, K♣, K♥, K♦ have special, or 'Krazy' Rules. They make the game very fun and enjoyable for all players.

Rule 1: Any King can be played in Round One.

Rule 2: The suit of a King does not apply

Rule 3: Kings cannot challenge another King

Rule 4: Kings can only challenge suits.

Rule 5: A player may not discard a King as their last card. A player cannot win the game by discarding a King as their last card. If you have king as your last card you much still roll the dice to challenge the person next to you.

The Play of the Hand

For those players that were able to discard in Round One, the play continues to move clockwise. Players then may discard according to the following rules:

1. If the top card of the discard pile is not a King, you may play any card which matches the rank or suit of the previous card (for example if the top card was the five of hearts you could play any five or any heart);

2. A King may be played on any card, and the player of the King must then roll which determines the number of the card that the following player must discard

3. If a player is unable to play a card legally based on rank, suit, or the player does not have a King then they must roll the die

a. The die then determines the possible cards that the player may discard:

i. A player may use only one of two possible combinations of the die to match card in their hand.

· Each die equals a number of a card or,

· The sum of the two die.

· Example: A player is rolls a 4 and a 5. They may discard either a Four, Five, or Nine (4+5 = 9)

Ø If the player is unable to discard after a roll then they are penalized by drawing the number of cards equal to the two die. In this example the player must draw 9 cards.

Krazy King Challenges

1. A player may choose to discard a Krazy King to challenge the next player in sequence

a. When a player discards a Krazy King they must roll the die

b. The next player must play a legal card

i. If a legal card is played the challenger must draw the number of cards corresponding to the failed challenge

· Example: A challenger rolls a 5 and a 6. The next player successfully discards a 6. The challenger must then draw 6 cards.

ii. If the challenged player cannot play a legal card they must draw the number of cards equal to the two die.

· Example: A challenger rolls a 5 and a 6. The next player is unsuccessful and must draw 11 (5 + 6) cards.

iii. When playing with 2 players, the draw of cards counts as a turn and the winner of the challenge is the next to play.

2. Play after an unsuccessful Krazy King challenge.

a. When the same number on the die (double) is rolled the direction of play reverses, becoming anticlockwise if it had been clockwise, or vice versa. player in sequence must roll the die and play according to the numbers on the die. If they are unable to play then they are penalized according to the number of cards equal to the two die.

b. The next player in sequence is allowed to play based on this roll. If they are unable to play based off of this roll they must roll. If the player is unsuccessful in legally discarding they are penalized according to the number of cards equal to the two die.

c. This same procedure continues until a player is able to legally play a card.

"Krazy King" Special Actions

Change suit

Traditionally a King can be played at any time and the player can roll for next player. Nominate any suit. Some play that you can only play an eight that matches (either the same suit or another eight). Some play that you can play an eight at any time but cannot nominate another suit - the next player must match the suit of the eight you played or play another eight.

Also if you rolled the total whats the dice and the discard pile if you dont have whats on the dice when it matches. You can rolled again or used your king to throw down.

Joker ReRolled Roll off Rules:

Everybody participles in this round you could start the game that way was well in round you start the game that way as well in round one. A Rolled Off can destroy the first round because everybody went on a rolled or start from the deck pile.

The one who has the joker gets throws the card down and everybody participates . To who to challenged joker cant be thought on a king. Each person has one dice and each person roll until it's a not a tie. Loser was to rolled off this the other player in the three-player game in a four player or even player game. You challenge the person cross from you for the roll off. After that rolled off than the other two places roll for there rolled off. Everybody particulates in the rolled off. Loser with the losers amount of dice gets the remaining lowest number of dice which was throw down. The winner with high number of the roll off gets a another turn and gets to throw what's on dice doesn't have it gets to rerolled the dice three time and gets to pick the direction in which way the game should go. And if winner doesn't have the roll after three rolls than has to pick up the last rolled total about of cards. The player next to them has to throw what's on the dice or rolled kings cant challenged a joker card kings can only challenged suits.

Completing the Draw Pile

If during the game play the Draw Pile is empty then the rules of the game restarts to Round One. Besides if you throw a joker and you rolled off against everybody than that also counts as a first round.

Last Card

You must alert the other players when you have just one card left. If you fail to do so you must draw cards, according to the roll of the die from the stock as a penalty. You rolled what's on the dice and if he and she don't have that total on the dice or than the have to pick the total of the card. Totals if you don't have last card only. If you throw the total card on the you win the game.
