You press the button that has the Clock/Calendar picture on it. On the first push, the date will show. On the second push, the time will show.
If you want to print just the date, then push the Clock/Calendar button once (showing the date) - and press the button that has the #/Diamond picture on it (to the right of the + button) and it will print.
If you want the date and time, then do as stated above for the date, then push the Clock/Calendar button again to get to the time and press the button that has the #/Diamond picture on it.

1997. But the year is always changing so this answer may not keep up to date, so just take a calculator and type in the current year, then subtract the age you want to calculate. So if you want to find a 16-year-old's birth year in 2013 just type in the calculator: 2013 - 16 = 1997.
