  5. write ×10 to the power of this count after the number written in step 2.

  1. 925
  2. 9.25
  3. need to move the decimal point 3 places to the left
  4. To the left so make the count negative: -3
  5. 9.25 × 10⁻³

→ 0.00925 = 9.25 × 10⁻³
