When painting a picture, the focus of the picture should follow the Golden Ratio. , which is 1:1.618033.... . Nature follows this ratio all the time. The focus of the picture should NEVER be in the DEAD centre of the picture. it makes the picture unbalanced.

When drawing the human anatomy and/head , follow the 7th's rule. For the Head from top to chin; first 7th to the hair line, 2 7th, hairline to the eyebrows. 3rd/4th seventh to the tip of the nose, 6th seventh ; tip of nose to lips. 6th seventh lips to cleft of chin, 7th seventh ; cleft of chin to to base of chin.
