so 2/3 x 5/5 = 10/15

and 2/5 x 3/3 = 6/15

so 10 is greater than 6

so 2/3 is greater than 2/5

Alternatively if someone were offered the choice of a share of say $15

then 15 x 2/3 = 30/3 = 10

and 15 x 2/5 = 30/5 = 6

so they would choose 2/3 as $10 is preferable to $6
