The earth rotates in everyday life. Without the rotation of the earth one side of earth will be day all the time and one will be dark all the time.

Wheels on vehicles rotate and provide easy locomotion.

Without rotating, if I start walking in a direction I would have to keep on going until I had walked around the whole earth before I could get back to where I had started.

Boring holes (for example to put up shelves) is made easier by a rotating drill.

Electric tooth brushes and razors use a rotating motor which is connected via some linkage to create a to-and-fro motion.

Without the compressor in a fridge or freezer rotating to compress the coolant gas they would be no use for storing food.

Taps require rotating (turning) to allow the flow of water in a (modern) home.
