Oh, what a lovely question! Let's see, you could use two dimes and three pennies, or one dime, two nickels, and three pennies. There are many combinations you could try, just like painting a beautiful landscape with different colors and brushes. Just have fun exploring all the possibilities!

Assuming you're American:

  1. 23¢ = 23 × 1¢
  2. = 18 × 1¢ + 5¢
  3. = 13 × 1¢ + 2 × 5¢
  4. = 13 × 1¢ + 1 × 10¢
  5. = 8 × 1¢ + 3 × 5¢
  6. = 8 × 1¢ + 1 × 5¢ + 1 × 10¢
  7. = 3 × 1¢ + 4 × 5¢
  8. = 3 × 1¢ + 2 × 5¢ + 1 × 10¢
  9. = 3 × 1¢ + 2 × 10¢
So there are 9 different ways.

If you were European, there would also be a 2 cent coin and a 20 cent coin to consider in the mix.

The answer depends on the country or region whose currency you are using. The US, for example, does not have a 20 cent coin whereas the Eurozone does.
