The geometrical object known as a cone has no planar faces, two curved surfaces, no edges and one vertex.

A "real" object often called a cone is a portion of a half cone. That has one base, a curved surface, and one vertex.

A cone has two faces, one edge, and one vertex.
There are different schools of thought on this depending on whether you think a face can be curved or not. I adhere to the "two faces, one edge" school.

2 sides - the base and curved side

1 edge - where the base and curve meet

and 1 vertex on the top if that helps
