Assuming the 15 feet is the diameter of the circle.
Formula to find the circumference of the circle is pi x diameter.
15 × 3.14 = 47.1 feet
So the rope will be 47.1 feet long.
0.6 feet
8 and 1/3 feet of rope = 100 inches.30 percent of the rope = 30 inches.
23.2 ft.
That answer will depend upon the thickness of the rope being wound.
Six Feet. That's before sales taxes are added, of course...
6 knots
17
that would be 27 feet of rope
There are many ways to play Chinese Jump Rope, but this is the way I know how: Stretch the jump rope between to chairs to make it a rectangle. Use this pattern: In, Out, Left, Right, On. Start by straddling the jumprope. On in, jump inside so both feet are inside the jumprope. On out, straddle the jumprope like you started. On left, jump with both feet out of the rope on the left side On right, jump with both feet out of the rope on the right side On on, jump on the two longs sides of the rope. HAVE FUN! by Missyboo
.... and you want to know how much longer the second rope is than the first one? If we take 4,000 miles as the radius, and we want to do any comparison with feet then we need to convert the miles to feet. There are 5,280 feet in a mile, and I'll use 3.1416 as the value of pi. So, rope A goes around a circle with a radius of 4,000, which is a radius of 21,120,000 feet. Then rope B goes around a circle with a radius of 21,120,010 feet. As the circumference = 2 pi r we can multiply both of these by 2 pi and subtract the smaller from the larger. Rope A = 132701184 feet Rope B = 132701246.832 The difference here is 62.832 feet. However, we can get exactly the same result if we just multiply the extra 10 feet by 2 pi = 10 x 2 x 3.1416 = 62.832. This is equal to 62 feet 10 inches.
Hammer a wooden peg and attach an 8 foot thin rope to the peg. Fasten a spike on the other end (to scrape the circle on the ground). After ensuring the distance between the centre peg and the spike is 8 feet in length, keeping the rope taut, use the spike to mark the ground in a circle.
0.6 feet
78 feet!78 feet!78 feet!78 feet!
If 64 feet of rope weights 20 pounds, 80 feet of the same type of rope will weigh 25 pounds.
A fathom is six feet in length. Rope is usually sold in 100 foot coils. As such, a single coil of rope has 16 2/3 fathoms. This can vary, of course, depending on if the coil of rope is really 100 feet, or some other amount.
26 yards long
A rope is measured in metres, or feet.
