There's no definite shape or size that an acre has to be. There are an infinite number

of different shapes and sizes that all have areas of one acre. If it's an "acre", that only

tells you how much ground it covers, but the outline of that area can have any shape.

If the acre is 1 mile long, then it's 8ft 3in wide.

If it's 4,840ft long, then it's 9ft wide.

If it's 360ft long, then it's 121ft wide.

If it's 242ft long, then it's 180ft wide.

If you have a square block of land that's 1 mile long on each side,

you can carve up that land into 640 acres.
