It depends on the kind of paint it can veri from 39 ft to 50 ft if used right
Improved Answer: Even a high build elastomeric paint goes 80 square feet a gallon. A standard gallon of paint has a theoretical coverage rate of 400 sq ft. However, this amount will be reduced on a porous or textured surface as much as half.
About 1500 sq ft
To answer this question, you need to know how much a gallon or unit of the paint can cover and the price per gallon or unit of the paint. Let us say a gallon covers 120 sq ft and it costs 10 dollars a gallon. You would need 600/120 gallons, which is five gallons and it would cost 5 x 10 dollars, which is fifty dollars. This is just an example, not an estimate. The other cost would be labor if you hired someone to do it. Otherwise you would also have to add the cost of a paint roller and pan, and brushes if you did it yourself.
One gallon covers 400 sq ft on a smooth surface one coat. For rougher surface, much less per gallon, 200-300 sq ft oer coat. One gallon costs between $20-$50 depending on quality.
6 and 2/3 gal.
2 gallons Um, beg to differ.... 20x10=200 x 2 walls...400 sq ft 15X10=150 X 2 walls...300 sq ft 20x15=300sq ft 400+300+300=1000 divided by 150sq ft = 6.67 gallons....if all of the information we have is correct. (this does not take into account doors or windows for which you have not given us any information on) What type of paint are you using that only estimates 150 sq ft per gallon coverage?? Be aware that sometimes the coverage sq ft estimate will vary depending on the surface, existing paint, and the method of application.
About 1500 sq ft
Approximately 250 sq. feet
About 250 sq. ft.
interior on primed walls, about 300 ft^2 exterior, about 200~250 ft^2 depending on the product
A gallon of paint one coat will cover about 300 square feet; if surface is very smooth about 400 sq ft,and if very rough maybe 150-200 sq feet
it all depends on the paint, coverage will be printed on the rear label of the can
(6-ft x 172-ft) / (200 square feet per gallon) = 5.16 gallons
Honestly it really depends on the size of the wall and how well it spreads
From what I've read you need one gallon of paint to cover between 300 to 400 sq. ft. If you are not going dramatically from one color to another (light to light), then you can probably get away with 1 gallon to 400 sq. ft. However if you are going from a dark to light color, then you should do you calculations with the one gallon to 300 sq. ft. ratio or even less. So, if you're going from light to light you're going to need a minimum of 2 1/2 gallons ( I don't believe you can get a 1/4 gallon of paint) of paint to cover 900 sq. ft. If you are going from a dark to a light then you are going to need a minimum of 3 gallons of paint. I would consult this with an associate at the store though or a professional painter. That would depend on the type of paint you want to use. Usually, the area coverage will be written on the label of the paint can. Approx. 400 sq feet is the coverage on a smooth surface using regular house paint, however, an elastomeric paint would only go approx 80 sq ft per gallon.
To determine how much paint is needed to cover 100 square feet, you first need to know the coverage area of the paint you are using. This is typically indicated on the paint can as the coverage rate in square feet per gallon. Once you have this information, you can calculate the amount of paint needed by dividing the total square footage (100 sq. ft.) by the coverage rate of the paint. For example, if the coverage rate is 250 sq. ft. per gallon, you would need 0.4 gallons of paint (100 sq. ft. / 250 sq. ft. per gallon = 0.4 gallons).
How many square feet does a gallon of the adhesive cover? RTFM, noob.
