Well lets break down four into thirds.

4 is 3/3 + 3/3 + 3/3 + 3/3 = 12/3

Now lets subtract 2/3 from 12/3 until there are not enough 3rd to make another set.

12/3 - 2/3 = 10/3 - 2/3 = 8/3 - 2/3 = 6/3 - 2/3 = 4/3 - 2/3 = 2/3 - 2/3 = 0.

So now count how many 2/3'd we subtracted.

There are: 6 2/3rds in 4.
