A gabillion, possibly a variant of gazzillion, means a number so big that it is not possible to comprehend it. People who are comfortable with large numbers are unlikely to use the word.

I googled it and got 36,100 hits, so a lot of people are using it. If becomes popular enough, it will eventually be in the dictionaries.
