Therefore, 4 quarters are worth one dollar; 8 quarters are worth 2 dollars; 12 quarters are worth 3 dollars. 15 quarters is 12 quarters with 3 left over. Therefore 15 quarters is 3 and 3/4 dollars . And as three and 3/4 we mean $3.75.
