You can either leave your diameter in inches or convert it to feet. If you choose to leave you number in inches then you convert 100 ft to 1200 in and multiple 1200*cross-sectional area to get the cubic inches water in the hose. If you choose to convert your diameter to feet then just multiply 100 ft times cross-sectional area to get the cubic ft of water in the hose.

A cylinder 50 feet in height and 6 inches in diameter can hold up to 73.44 gallons of water.
U tell me
It would contain about 10895.04 cubic inches, which according to a converter i use assuming you mean united states liquid gallons, is 47.1646 gallons, that is slightly off as there was a decimal to the cubic inches. If you want to do it yourself it is (17/2) squared times pi times 48 to get cubic inches, then find an online website, ect. to convert it to gallons.
This is kind of tricky, but here are the basics: Volume is the surface area of the cylinder multiplied by the depth of the water. Do not mix feet and inches, convert all dimensions to feet or inches, depending on the application. To calculate the surface area, measure the inside diameter of the cylinder, divide the diameter by 2 and then multiply by Pi (3.1416). Multiply the surface area by the depth of the water and use following information for conversion: water is 231 cubic inches per gallon or 7.481 gallons per cubic foot.
56548.8 cubic inches = pi (3.1416) times the radius squared times the height
Diameter is a length measurement. Cubic inches is a volume measurement. Diameter cannot be measured in or converted to cubic inches.
