Remember the numerical names

1= unit

10 = tens

100 = hundreds

1000 = thousands

10,000 = tens of thousands

100,000 = hundred of thousands

1,000,000 = millions

10,000,000 = tens of millions

100,000,000 = hundreds of millions

1,000,000,000 = billions(thousands of millions)

So a number like

123,456,789 would read as 'One hundred and twenty three million, four hundred and fifty six thousand, seven hundred and eighty nine.
