Well, let's take a moment to appreciate the number 45. To round it to the nearest 10, we look at the digit in the tens place, which is 4. Since 4 is less than 5, we keep the tens digit the same and change all other digits to the right to zero. So, 45 rounded to the nearest 10 is 50. Just like adding a happy little cloud to a painting, rounding can bring a sense of balance and harmony to numbers.

If a number is ends in 5 or more it is rounded to the higher ten whereas if a number ends in 4.99999... or less it rounds down.

Example: 45

45 would round up to 50

but if it was 43 it would round down to 40

hope this helps x

To round 45 to the nearest 10, we look at the digit in the tens place, which is 4. Since 4 is less than 5, we round down. Therefore, 45 rounded to the nearest 10 is 40.
