If a number is ends in 5 or more it is rounded to the higher ten whereas if a number ends in 4.99999... or less it rounds down.

Example: 45

45 would round up to 50

but if it was 43 it would round down to 40

hope this helps x

Oh, dude, rounding 45 to the nearest 10 is like so easy. You just look at the number to the right of the tens place, which in this case is 5, and since it's 5 or more, you round up. So, 45 rounds up to 50. Ta-da!

You look at the unit digit. In this case it's 5. Since the unit digit is 5, we round it up to next ten after 40. So the answer is 50.

Well, let's take a moment to appreciate the number 45. To round it to the nearest 10, we look at the digit in the tens place, which is 4. Since 4 is less than 5, we keep the tens digit the same and change all other digits to the right to zero. So, 45 rounded to the nearest 10 is 50. Just like adding a happy little cloud to a painting, rounding can bring a sense of balance and harmony to numbers.
