1 yard = 36 inches
50 yards = (50 x 36) = 1,800 inches
1,800 / 10.5 = 171.43
If there is no waste or scrap, you will get 171 pieces, and then have 4.5 inches remaining.
If 104 yards of ribbon is cut into 14 equal length pieces, each piece will have length of 7.43 yards, to the justified number of significant digits.
4 yards = 4*36 = 144 inches. So number of ribbons = int(144/15) = 9
4 ÷ 2 = 2 so each piece measures two feet in length.
2 inches
The answer would be 20 pieces. 10 25 yards long pieces would be 250 yards total. Divide that by 12 gets you 20.8333... Since you want whole pieces, you would round that down to 20. Kelli can cut 20 full pieces.

If they need 250 ribbons, and are making 6 ribbon per yard (36" in a yard divided by 1/6th = 6") then they need 41.666 yards of ribbon. Or....I'd get 42 yards for extra or 126 feet if it comes by the foot.
In a piece of carpet that is 12 ft by 15 ft, there are 20 (twenty) square yards. Divide the length and width each by three to get the dimensions of 4 yards by 5 yards. multiply the length by the width to get an answer of 20 square yards.
With no units given for the dimensions of the piece of material, it is impossible to say how many yards down each edge of the rectangle.
2 inches
This will depend on how long you would like each piece to be. If each piece is to be 1 inch long, then 115 pieces could be cut. If each piece is 2 inches long, then 57 pieces with 0.5 inches left over If each pieces is 5 inches long, then 23 pieces and so on and so forth.
The ribbon race on Horseback is when you have two riders each holding an end to a piece of crepe paper ribbon (about 3 foot long). They race around the ring being timed or they perform various tasks as called out by an announcer till one of the teams breaks or drops the ribbon. It is great fun.
They love each other!
