If you run 3.5 mph how long does it take you to run 67 feet? 4.0 miles per hour and all speeds, in 0.5 mph increments up to 8.5 miles per hour?
1/10=0.1 hours
About 6 minutes 5 seconds.
This is a problem where you have to convert to similar units before you can solve. It is easiest to covert miles into yards (otherwise we'd be dealing with a lot of decimals). 1 mile = 5,280 feet and 3 feet = 1 yard. Therefore: 3 miles/1 hour * 5280 feet/1 mile * 1 yard/ 3 feet = 5,280 yards/hour 3 mph = 5,280 yards/hour Now that units are similar (you are running at 5,280 yards/hour), we can easily figure out how long it will take to run 150 yards. 5280 yards/ 1 hour = 150 yards/ X 5280X = 150 X = .028409 hours This answer is a bit strange so let's convert it to minutes. We know 1 hour = 60 minutes, so: .028409 hours * 60 minutes/1 hours = 1.70454 minutes If you want to go one step further and convery the .70454 minutes into seconds: .70454 minutes * 60 second/1 minute = 42.27 seconds Our answer then is: if you run at 3 mph, it would take 1 minute 42.3 seconds to run 150 yards.
Without using a calculator; I'd say roughly 10- 15 minutes. I'm a sprinter so I only run 100m and get tired.
at 4mph... after 1 hour, you've run 4 miles. after 2 hours, you've run 8 miles. after 3 hours, you've run 12 miles. I hope you see where this is going.
22.5 seconds.
It is impossible to run that fast, but if it were, it would take 2 hours.
11.32 minutes
1/9 of an hour
Three minutes.
10 minutes.
1/10=0.1 hours
That would be 1.5 minutes.
About 10 minutes.
40.9 seconds.
12 minutes and 1 second at a constant 5 mph, excluding speed changes or stops.
Four hours.
