No it's a Prime number. And a prime number is a number that is only divisable by 1 and itself.
A prime number is a number which has only 2 factors. These factors are 1 and itself.

A composite number is a number which has more than 2 factors.

In this case, the only factors of 2 are 1 and 2. Therefore 2 is not a composite number, it is a prime number.
