A Prime number has only 2 factors which are 1 and itself. Composite numbers are everything else except 1 and 0. 1 and 0 are neither prime, nor composite. 89 is prime.

89 is a prime number. It is only divisible by 1 and itself.
89 is the 24th prime number.

89 is a prime number. Prime numbers only have 2 factors. Composite numbers have over 2 factors.
