Try visualizing a candy bar that you really really like. If you cut it into 9 pieces, would you rather have 4 pieces or 5 pieces? 5, right? Because it's more and you want as much of the candy bar as possible, right? So if you think of it that way, it's clear to see/taste, that 4/9 is smaller than 5/9.

NO IT IS NOT. 4/9 is clearly smaller than 5/9.
