To find the least common multiple of numbers there are two methods. #1 You list the multiples of each number. Identify the least number that is on both lists. #2 Find the common factors of the numbers.

In this case their are no common factors because 23 is prime.

Here's what you do:

1. Find the prime factorization of 21 and 23. 21=7*3 23=23

2. Take the factors and multiply them all together once because each one is only shown once.

7*3*23=?

3. 7 times 3 equals 21 times 23 is 483.

LCM=483
