1"x2"x3" blocks have those dimensions on one each of their three sides. They are usually precision ground and are used as leveling blocks or tiedown spacers on machine shop equipment such as milling machines. They could also be used anywhere it is desired to have precision spacers.
The going rate often depends on the product that is being installed. Generally you should expect between $2-4 a foot for hardwood installation. You will find some who install for less but there will be less given. I live in NC and my basic rate for pre-finished hardwood is $2.45 a square foot. That price is for up to a 4" wide plank, remove and dispose of old carpet, (and hourly charge is added for tile or other hard surface removal), put down 15lb roofers felt for a vapor barrier, undercut all door jambs, remove and rehang all doors, (an additional charge is added if they need to be cut to fit back in the jambs). You should expect additional charges that can include the following. LEVELING!!!!! I have installed thousands of square feet of flooring and have NEVER once had a subfloor that was perfectly level. This cannot be accurately estimated until the old flooring is removed and a level is put to the floor. Generally you should be prepared for 4-6 hours at a rate of $40-60 an hour plus materials. If you have a raised foundation this can also include subfloor repair. Also if you have a concrete subfloor and are not using a glue down product you will need to pay for a wooden subfloor to be installed. This will generally be 3/4" plywood installed over the concrete. There are 2 ways to do it and not enough space here to explain both. This will cost in addition another $2-4 a foot for installation plus materials. If it is not pre-finished then there is another $2-4 a foot to sand and finish the product. Hope this helps.
No, all that matters is the food you give them.

Leveling and balancing are crucial for ensuring smooth operation and longevity of machinery and equipment. Leveling ensures that machines are stable and operate correctly, while balancing helps reduce vibrations, prevent unnecessary wear and tear, and improve performance. Proper leveling and balancing also contribute to the safety of operators and the surrounding environment.

Power leveling is a term used in the gaming world. The definition of power leveling is the use of a high level character assisting the leveling of a low level character.
Leveling ensures that equipment or machines are stable and operate properly, preventing uneven stress or wear. Balancing ensures that rotating parts are evenly distributed in weight, reducing vibration and improving performance while extending the lifespan of the equipment. Both are crucial for ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity of machinery.
