∙ 16y agoThe store that has the better price is store"B". By store "A" charging $5.95 per square foot their price comes out to $53.55 per square yard. There are 9 square feet in a square yard. By store "A" advertising the price by square foot instead of square yard, they are hoping that people will just look at the price {$5.95 vs 38.95} and think that store "A" is a better deal. It is just an advertising gimmic and it is a gimmic because everyone knows that carpeting is measured and sold by square yard.

∙ 16y agoIf the room is 4 yards by 5 yards you will need 20 square yards. 20 square yards of carpet at $19.95 is $399.00. Remember you may still have to pay for padding and labor if that is not included in the $19.95 per yard. That may be $3.50 per yard of padding and $7.00 per yard labor approximately. If the room is wider than 12 feet you will use a lot more carpet because of the fill piece required to finish the room must run in the same direction. Total costs summary: * Cost for the carpet ($390) * Installation costs (Labour, underpad) ($210) * Old carpet disposal ($50 est.) * Sales Taxes (@ 10% = $50) * Impact of clergy discounts (@ 10% discount on materials = -$50)
Carpets are sold per square meter (unless you find an off cut the size required). Your longest length is 7m, so your carpet will be 7sqm @ £20 per sqm = 7 x £20 = £140. Would exclude gripper rod, underlay and fitting though!

The cost largely depends on the quality of the carpet you want. The lower end costs $3.70 per square foot, while the higher end carpet costs about $5.49 per square foot.
$53.91 per square yard. That's pretty expensive carpet...........
cost of per square yard will be 468.00.
To convert square yards to square meters, multiply by 0.8361. Therefore, a square meter of carpet would cost approximately $11.91 (9.99/0.8361).
$20.80
First work out the area of the floor. Area = width * length 13*15= 195. So there are 195 square feet. The carpet costs 2.78 per square foot, so multiply 195 by 2.78. $542.10
1.40 x 9 = 12.60 per yard.
For the carpet you are not paying just for the carpet. there is also the padding which goes under the carpet for softness and the cost for a profesional to come in and properly install everythin. all together with these three costs it should be about 20$ per square foot.
0, because a lineal meter has an area of 0
If you are not terribly picky, a carpet remnant store is your best bet. It typically costs only about $150 or so to carpet a room up to about 12' by 16' or so. You still need a pad and generally need professional installation so the full price would be roughly near $300. If you have already purchased your new carpet and are simply looking for installation costs, plan on spending approximately $5 to $10 per square yard. More details on prices on getproquotes.com
A square yard is 0.84 square meters, so 0.84 of $17.93 is $15.06. So it would be $15.06 per square yard.
When you are choosing new carpet for your home, you will also need to consider the costs for the installation of your new carpet. If you install the carpet yourself, you will also need to purchase carpet matting and tack strips as well as any tool costs associated with installation. Sometimes the matting will come with the purchase of the carpet. You will need to consider any labor costs if you hire a professional to install your carpeting. You can save money by looking for deals at your local home improvement stores that offer free or low cost installation with your carpet purchase.
