Sum of interior angles of a x-gon = (x-2)*180 = 3600

so x-2 = 20 and hence x = 22.

GOOD! becus that's what i got! :P

What is the interior angle of a triskaidecagon?

The sum of the interior angles of a polygon with n sides is (n-2)*180 degrees. So, with n = 13, the sum of the interior angles is 11*180 = 1980 degrees. However, any particular interior angle can have any value between 0 and 360 degrees, (not inclusive of those limits). It is only in the case of a REGULAR polygon that the value of the interior angle can be determined without additional information. So, if the 13-polygon is regular, then each interior angles is 1980/13 = 1524/13 or 152.3077 degrees.

What is the number of sides of a regular polygon if one interior angle measures 160?

x = 360 / (180 - y) y = 108 Therefore, if y is 108, x = 5 Each angle deviates an equal amount from 180 degrees. The total deviation must add up to 360. Hence, the above equation. The value of y must be such that x will be a whole number, no fractions. If the result of the equation is not a whole number, you don't have a regular polygon; the angles are not all the same. Another way to look at this: Every polygon has interior angles adding up to 180(n-2). In this polygon, the interior angles add up to 108n, where n is the number of sides. 180(n-2)=108n 180n -360 -108n =0 72n = 360 n= 5 ^^ the polygon could also have 18 sides.

What kind of triangle has no equal sides or angles?

This is a SCALENE triangle. There several types of triangle; Equilateral ; The three sides are the same length and the three angles are ALL 60 degrees. All angles are ACUTE Isosceles ; Two sides are the same length , and two angles have the same degree value. . May be ACUTE or OBTUSE. Right angled ; The three sides may vary in length, but ONE angle is 90 degrees. Is ACUTE, and maybe ISOSCELES. Scalene ; All three sides are of different length, and all three angles have different degree value. May be ACUTE or OBTUSE. Fort ALL triangles , of whatever shape, the sum of the interior angles is ALWAYS 180 degrees.

Find the size of each interior angle of 6 sided regular polygon?

To answer this question, you need to know a few things, which you probably know already:Any two angles formed by a straight line and a line coming off it in any direction will add to 180 degrees. There are 360 degrees in a circle. In a regular polygon, all of the interior angles will be equal. (I'm sure there's no need to tell you what an interior angle is)Now, if you think about it, in order for the hexagon (in other words, your 6-sided regular polygon; I'm going to call it a hexagon because it's shorter) be complete, the line that forms the outside of it has to go all the way around in a sort of circle. If you imagine that each side of the hexagon extends out in one direction, like a pinwheel, then the total of those small outside angles is 360 degrees. There are 6 of those angles, so 360 divided by 6 gives 60 degrees per Exterior Angle in a hexagon. Now, notice that there is one of these Exterior Angles per Interior Angle, and that the two add to 180 degrees (for the reasons stated above). So, 180 minus 60 gives 120 degrees per interior angle! This method works for all regular polygons. There is another method as well: The total of the interior angles in a triangle is 180 degrees. Pick one vertex (corner) of the polygon and draw lines from it to all the other vertices. Count the number of triangles you see, and multiply that number by 180. This gives you the sum of the interior angles in that polygon. Then, if it's regular, divide by the number of interior angles to give you the value of each interior angle.Remember that both of these methods only work when the polygon is regular.WikipediaWictionaryChambers (UK)Google imagesGoogle defineThe Free DictionaryJoin exampleWordNetGoogleUrban DictionaryAnswers.comrhymezone.comMerriam-Webster0wvcidfjoguarm

What are the exterior angles of a 36 sided polygon?

The exterior angles of any polygon including a 36 sided polygon always add up to 360 degrees.

What are the interior angles of a 5 sides polygon?

Any value between 0 and 360 degrees (not including those two values). If the polygon were regular, and that is a BIG if, then each interior angle would be 108 degrees.

What is the interior angle of a polygon with 6 sides?

An interior angle can have any value in the range (0, 360) degrees excluding 180 degrees. There is a constraint that all interior angles sum to 720 degrees.

What is the interior angle of a irregular polygon with 9 sides?

The sum of the interior angles of any convex polygon with n sides is n * 60 degrees. Any given interior angle, however, can be anything from just greater than 0 degrees to just less than 180 degrees.

How is the measure of each interior angle related to the number of sides in a polygon?

It is not. The sum of all the interior angles is related to the number of sides but, unless the polygon is regular, each interior angles can have any value in the range (0, 360) degrees - the traingle being an exception where the maximum angle must be less than 180 degrees. There is nothing in the question that suggests that the polygon is regular and since only a minority of polygons are regular, you may not assume that it is a regular polygon.

How do you work out the number of sides in a regular polygon that has an interior angle?

Restate the question: how do you find the number of sides in a regular polygon if you know the measure of an interior angle? (If this is not your question, please resubmit the question with different wording.) Subtract the interior angle from 180 deg - for example 180-160 = 20. Now divide 360 by this value: 360/20 = 18. A regular polygon with interior angles of 160 degrees has 18 sides.

What is the size of each interior angle of a polygon with 35 sides?

Each interior angle can have any value in the range (0, 360) degrees, excluding 180 degrees. The only restriction is that the interior angles sum to 5940 degrees.

How do you find the measure of an interior angle with 16 sides?

You cannot. An interior angle of a 16-sided polygon can have any value. However, IF the polygon is regular, then each of its exterior angles is 360/16 = 22.5 degrees. The interior angle, being a supplementary angle to the exterior angle, will be 180-22.5 = 157.5 degrees.

What is the measure of one interior angle of a regular convex 31gon?

The easiest way to calculate this is to use the facts thatthe sum of the interior and exterior angles is 180o; andthe sum of the exterior angles of any polygon is 360o.For a regular polygon, each exterior angle will be 360o divided by the number of sides. The interior angle is then 180o - the exterior angle. For a 31-gon:exterior_angle = 360° ÷ 31= 1119/31o⇒ interior_angle = 180° - 1119/31o= 16812/31°≈ 168.39oUse the Interior Angle Formula directlyThe sum of interior angles for a polygon of n sides is (n-2) x 180° and individual angles for a regular polygon will be (n-2) 180°/nPlugging in the value n=31, we have one angle = 29(180)/31 = 168.39°

Is there a regular polygon with an interior angle angle sum of 9000?

Interior angles of any n-sided polygon sum to (2n - 4) right angles or 180n - 360 degrees. In your question this value = 9000, ie 180n = 9000 + 360 or 9360 degrees. 9360/180 = 52. A 52-sided polygon's interior angles total 9000 degrees.

What is a regular polygon vs a not regular polygon?

A regular polygon is a polygon whose sides are equal length and whose angles are all the same value. A non regular polygon is just the opposite of a regular polygon.

What is the sum of an interior angle of a polygon with 34 sides?

The sum of an interior angle is any value between 0 and 360 degrees that you like - with the possible exception of 180 degrees that doe not make an angle. The sum of all interior angles is 180*(34-2) = 5760 degrees.
