In order to find the common multiples of four n umbers you should first break them into their prime factors:
4 = 2x2
8 = 2x2x2
11 = 11
12 = 2x2x3
The next step is to identify common factors. In this case, three numbers have two 2s as prime factors, so we can discard four of these. That leaves us with 2, 2, 2, 11 and 3. Multiply these together to find the lowest common multiple:
2x2x2x11x3 = 264
To find other common multiples, you just multiply this number by an integer (2, 3, 4...)
Thus the first few common multiples of 4, 8, 11 and 12 are:
264, 528, 792, 1056...
The common multiples of 11 and 4 are 88, and 4.
All numbers have multiples. Some numbers have some of the same multiples as other numbers. These are known as common multiples. 12 is a multiple of 3 12 is a multiple of 4 12 is a common multiple of 3 and 4
All nonzero numbers have multiples. Some numbers have some of the same multiples as other numbers. These are known as common multiples. 12 is a multiple of 3. 12 is a multiple of 4. 12 is a common multiple of 3 and 4.All non-zero numbers have multiples. Some numbers have some of the same multiples as other numbers. These are known as common multiples. 12 is a multiple of 3. 12 is a multiple of 4. 12 is a common multiple of 3 and 4.
4, 8 and 12 are the first 3 common multiples of 2 and 4
The least common multiple(LCM) is 12
The common multiples of 11 and 4 are 88, and 4.
The first 3 common multiples of 4 and 12 are: 12, 24, 36
The first 2 common multiples of 4 and 12 are 12 and 24.
It is 12 and its multiples.
12 and all its multiples.
Since the LCM is 12 then the common multiples are multiples of 12 12, 24, 36, 48
All numbers have multiples. Some numbers have some of the same multiples as other numbers. These are known as common multiples. 12 is a multiple of 3 12 is a multiple of 4 12 is a common multiple of 3 and 4
A common multiple of two integers 'x' and 'y', are the multiples of 'x' which are also multiples of 'y'.For your example, because 12 is itself a multiple of 4, ALL multiples of 12 are common multiples of 4 and 12.To prove my point, I will list out the multiples of both 4 and 12:multiples of 4:4,8,12,16,20,24,28,32,36,40,44,48,52,56,60,64,68,72,76,80,84,88,92,96, 100...multiples of 12:12,24,36,48,60,72,84,96...You can see here that every multiple of 12, is also a multiple of 4, thus all multiples of 12 are common multiples for 4 and 12.Also..a quick easy list:12,24,36,48,60,72,84,96and if you didn't read above, because 12 is a multiple of for, all multiples of 12 are a multiple of 4 .. simple!
Since 4 divides 12, they are the first 7 multiples of 12.
The numbers: 0, 12, 24, 36, 48, etc. (the multiples of 12) are the only common multiples of 4 and 6.
The first three multiples of 4 are 4, 8 and 12. For them to be common, they need to be compared to another set of multiples.
