"Like terms" are terms that have the same variables, but possibly with different numbers. "Collect" means to put them together - add the numbers. For example, in an expression such as:
5x + 3y - 2x
You can combine the "x" terms:
(5x - 2x) + 3y
and add the numbers (this is justified by the distributive property:
(5x - 2x) + 3y
= (5 - 2)x + 3y
= 3x + 3y
Bisect means to seperate or split something into equal parts , like an angle bisector splits an angle exactly in half
To give a reason to something,(numbers, sums, differences, or problems you usle hear the word reasonablein a map scale problem like me
Simplifying in maths means exactly that: making it less complicated, and reducing it to the fewest terms necessary.
It basically just means borrowing(:People just have different ways of saying it.ex. Regrouping, Trading, ect.
Like terms are terms with the same variable to the same power. Examples: 2y and 3y are like terms. 2y and 2z are not like terms 4y squared and 3y squared are like terms 4y squared and 3y are not like terms
