Its a basic presription for a someone with myopic astigmatism. The Spherical is -1 diopters which is near sighted. Cylinder means your cornea is shaped like a football rather than round so there is a prescription added to that of -1.50 diopters. And the Axis is the rotation of that cylinder, since your eye is not perfectly round an axis must be assigned to the cylinder correction and in your case that axis is 170 degrees which means that your astigmatism is almost horizontal. (Imagine a football laying on its side). Horizontal lines will appear more blurry than verticle ones. I suspect your vision is probably around 20/40-20/50. Overal not too bad of a precription vision wise. Problem with astigmatism is that even near objects are blurry. Since your eye isn't perfectly round, 2 images are created on your retina compounded by the -1.00 myopia(nearsightedness). -1.50 astig isn't to bad tho but bad enough where you couldn't get away with buying the cheaper non toric spherical contact lenses. PS Dont even think about Lasik with your script. They'll only make your eye worse.
